Xcel heat pump and heat pump water heater rebates. Homes with Xcel gas heat get the full amount, whoever supplies their electricity: $1,500 per heating ton for a cold-climate heat pump and $1,500 for a water heater, down from $2,250. Homes with Xcel electric but no Xcel gas get the standard amount: $750 per heating ton, or $750 for a water heater. Homes with neither don't qualify for Xcel rebates. The standard amounts didn't change. Ductless systems keep the bonus only when the heads heat at least half the home. Current Xcel amounts.

State of Colorado Heat Pump Discount. $1,000 for an air-source heat pump, a state tax credit a registered installer claims for you. At least a third of it has to reach you as its own invoice line, and the heat pump has to carry 80% of the year's heating, so a single mini-split head for one room doesn't qualify. It works with any utility.
Power Ahead Colorado. A flat $1,500 for a cold-climate heat pump, ducted or ductless, anywhere in the Denver metro's DRCOG cities and counties. There's no income limit. The contractor files it before work starts.
United Power and CORE Electric. United Power pays its own heat pump rebate to members, separate from Xcel. CORE Electric doesn't list one right now, so we check your address before we quote.
Xcel furnace rebate. $225 for Xcel gas customers on a 95% furnace that replaces an 80% one, installed in 2026. Xcel ends it January 1, 2027; 2026 invoices can be filed until September 30, 2027.

Xcel Aurora F-3 Project. Inside a mapped area from Montview to Mississippi and Monaco to Chambers, including Lowry, Xcel pays much larger rebates on invoices dated June 22 through December 31, 2026. An all-electric heat pump gets the F-3 rebate in place of the per-ton one. A dual-fuel job keeps the per-ton rebate and adds an F-3 furnace rebate. Check the map.

HEAR. Front Range funding for this income-qualified program ran out on April 28, 2026, and the rest of the state closed on August 1, 2026. It could never be combined with Power Ahead.
Denver Climate Action Rebate. Denver's own heat pump rebates ran out of money in March 2025.
Federal 25C. Ended for equipment placed in service after December 31, 2025.
